Zakimi No. 2 Distribution Reservoir is registered as a World Heritage Site.

It is adjacent to the Zakimi Castle ruins in the village of Yomitan, Okinawa Prefecture.

For that reason, the roof of the tank has been made into a flat observation platform, and care has been taken with the tank’s aesthetic design, such as adding a decorative coating to the outer wall, which is modeled after Zakimi Castle’s outer walls.
